Need a desk for a day, a quiet room for a pitch call, or a home base for a new startup? Louisiana has more coworking options than a quick search suggests, because many of the best ones are run by incubators and universities rather than national chains.
New Orleans
New Orleans & Company, the city's tourism agency, lists these spaces in a guide updated Feb. 24, 2026. Prices are as it listed them.

Startup-focused options include the New Orleans BioInnovation Center for life sciences companies, Newlab New Orleans, and the LSU New Orleans Research and Technology Park.
Baton Rouge
- Studio Cowork, 440 Third St., Suite 201A. Coworking memberships, private workspaces, meeting rooms, a content studio for photo, video and podcasts, and virtual offices, open weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to its Downtown Development District listing.
- Nexus Louisiana, the tech incubator, moved to the same building, 440 Third St., in July 2026. It offers memberships for founders; ask about desk access.
Lafayette
- Downtown WORKspace, 116 E. Congress St. Listed with coworking memberships from $250 a month, dedicated desks from $350, private offices from $550, day passes from $30 and meeting rooms from $25 an hour, according to a CommercialSearch listing.
- Opportunity Machine, downtown. The startup incubator's membership includes flexible workspace, bookable conference and training rooms, mentoring and partner perks.
Shreveport, Lake Charles and the Northshore
- Shreveport: BRF's InterTech Science Park supports biotech and tech startups. National chains including Regus and Spaces also operate in Shreveport.
- Lake Charles: the Business Incubator of Southwest Louisiana at the Henning SEED Center, run by the SWLA Alliance.
- Northshore: we haven't found an independent coworking space to list yet. STartUP Northshore runs founder programs in St. Tammany.
